Thanks, [~tdsilva]. IMHO, we should go with the protobuf representation - 
that's almost a 20x reduction in size. I think we can hit our 10M target if the 
cache is bumped up to a little over 3GB. If we create two new methods for a 
PTable going into the cache and coming out of the cache, we can just do the 
conversion on the fly. We can make it optional (new PTable boolean) if need be, 
but let's see what impact it has on perf first.
