The (non-blocker) worries/findings
* Filed https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PHOENIX-3168 for an
unnecessary LICENSE entry in the src tarballs (best as I can tell)
* https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PHOENIX-3164 is a scary one
which I was made aware of Monday afternoon. I don't think we need to
tank rc2 for this because of the intended quick cadence of a 4.8.1 (plus
the proper Kerberos security for PQS is new in 4.8.0). Including a
warning of this issue in release notes (or website, somewhere) is
sufficient IMO).
