Apache Phoenix 4.8.2 migration

Hi,

We are planning to migrate apache phoenix from 4.6.1 to 4.8.1.
To migrate to 4.8.1 can we drop indexes and recreate the indexes rather than 
migrating indexes. If so please let us know the impact.
