Thomas D'Silva commented on PHOENIX-3534: ----------------------------------------- Currently, when we change the schema of the parent table we push out the metadata changes to the child views. This requires locking the child and parent rows in SYSTEM.CATALOG. [~jamestaylor] had a nice idea, instead we could just have the ptable of the child view inherit the parent table's columns.
