I am using Spark 2.1.0 (Pre-built for 2.7 & later). It seems that all works
perfectly just by the addition of a pre-check in terms of whether the
SYSTEM.MUTEX exists or not. Irrespective of which version one uses, I guess
that having the code change that I have suggested would serve as a good safety
net.
With regards to the SaveMode behaviour, I am happy to contribute if you could
please provide me with the necessary background/point me to the required
resources. I hope we can resolve the Spark 2.1.0 compatibility issue as soon as
possible. Regards.
