Thanks for starting the thread! IMO, the target for early summer would be great once the blocker and a few more improvements are in. PHOENIX-6883 <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PHOENIX-6883> is also a really nice one to include but mostly 5.3 would be the right fit as we might need some time stabilizing and testing it rigorously.
