Hi! Once 5.2.1 is done, I think it's high time for a connectors release, and maintenance release of queryserver.
There are many important fixes and improvements in Avatica which QueryServer would greatly benefit from, and being able to build and test with 5.2 would also be a nice feature. Connectors have never had a standalone release, but I feel that we are finally in an acceptable place: * Inactive components have been dropped * Shading issues have been sorted * We have small standalone connector jars to work with the new phoenix mapreduce shaded jars * Spark 2 and 3 is supported * Hive 3 and 4 is supported Hive 3 still needs hacking to remove its included ancient beta Hbase, but this has been fixed in Hive 4, which should work OOB. Are there any blockers you are aware of, or any other comments or objections ? Istvan
