h4. Background
In {{{}processCDCBatchGenerated(){}}}, the consumer fetches CDC events with the
{{DATA_ROW_STATE}} scope, which triggers a server-side scan of the data table
to reconstruct row state. If the data-table mutation hasn't yet become visible
by the time the CDC event is read, the consumer retries up to
{{maxDataVisibilityRetries}} times (default 10) waiting for visibility. If
retries are exhausted, the consumer skips past the CDC events and advances its
watermark to {{{}lastScannedTimestamp[0]{}}}.
h4. Proposed fix
Add cdcEventsSkippedAfterRetries counter
