Resolution: Duplicate
For the client side, we are already taken care of this in PIG-1874 which will
be fixed in Pig 0.9.
For the backend side, there is no use-case as hadoop does not run tasks in
threads and as far as I know there are no plans to do so.
If the need does arise, I would be better to open a new bug that addresses that
particular use case
