Daniel Dai commented on PIG-3821:
---------------------------------

I checked, it is the same code as released pig 0.12.0. According to
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/PIG/HowToRelease, we do not change
those flags when releasing, but use command line arguments "-Dversion=0.12.0"
to make release.

> The tag http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/pig/tags/release-0.12.0 looks fishy

> The http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/pig/tags/release-0.12.0/build.xml contains
> {code}
>     <property name="pig.version" value="0.12.1" />
>     <property name="pig.version.suffix" value="-SNAPSHOT" />
> {code}
> So it is not clear if this tag really reflects released code, As well binary
> artifacts built from this tag have wrong pig version (both in artifact names
> and in displayed log messages, e.g.
