Niel,
I committed PIG-4530. Unit tests breaking with hadoop20 was
unintentional. We have been testing only in Hadoop 2.x mode mostly and
commit builds also run for that version, so this got missed.

Just FYI.
https://builds.apache.org/job/Pig-trunk-commit/ (Full unit test suite of
Pig on Mapreduce, Tez on Hadoop 2.x on trunk)
https://builds.apache.org/job/Pig-spark/ (Full unit test suite of Pig on
Spark on Hadoop 2.x on spark branch)

Would have definitely caught before the 0.15 release as we run full unit
and e2e suites for both hadoop20 and hadoop23 (2.x) before making a
release. Hadoop 1.x is still fully supported and it would be couple of
years before it gets deprecated and support dropped in Pig.

Regards,
Rohini
