+1 (binding) I checked the following: - The SHA512 checksums and the GPG signatures of the source and binary tarballs are correct (key FE4489E8BC6B342D is in KEYS). - The git tag release-1.6.0-rc0 points to 54f145f79a083abfb816c4c32e6636fc7acc03f6, and the source tarball matches the tag content. - LICENSE and NOTICE files are present. - The source tarball builds with -DskipTests. - The batch quickstart from the binary tarball starts, and SSE and MSE (join) queries return correct results.
Minor and not blocking: the binary NOTICE has no "Apache Pinot / Copyright The Apache Software Foundation" header. This was already the case in 1.5.0, so we can fix it in the next release.
