The caret should be gray in this case to indicate that the text area is 
non-editable. However, I agree that it could be confusing. This was done 
intentionally to allow a user to select text in a non-editable text area using 
the keyboard. However, we could consider disabling all keyboard access to a 
non-editable text area if that makes more sense.
