Its possible that a small API enhancement would open up the 
TerraFileBrowserSheetSkin. By being allowed to set the BXML file that is 
loaded, you could subclass the skin and install your own, leveraging the 
existing BXML, to add to the BXML the extra breadcrumbs. 

Or you could just ask for the skin to include a non-visible box that you could 
make visible above and below the main file browser area and use that for 
"client content". You'll still need to subclass the skin but at least its 
programmed in nicely. 

The rest of the API is there to let you hook in the breadcrumbs.

I know I would love a "favorites" location when using the filebrowser so I can 
jump right to the navigation point that I want each time. Its a bit poorly 
implemented in windows vista, but it saves me alot of time.
