I like the general idea of this proposal, but would be happy with the ability
to configure transitions & transparencies in the various skins
Being able to set the transition rate & duration should allow it to be
'disabled by setting the values appropriately, but it would be good to be able
to skip the code entirely with a single style setting.
In general I turn off most if not all effects in any app or OS that I use, but
certain ones in Pivot seem very natural (Sheet transition & tab collapse
transitions for instance). Even with these, I want the ability to tweak the
timings as I see fit.
