Also, keep in mind that this is something I am proposing, not something we have 
already done. The way we have historically positioned Pivot has (incorrectly) 
given developers the impression that Pivot is a tool for building browser-based 
apps that run in a plugin. You are a perfect example of this.  :-)

I want developers to be aware that Pivot is capable of much more than that - it 
isn't just an alternative to Flash or Silverlight, it's an alternative to Swing 
or SWT as well. We just haven't promoted it that way since we have been 
focusing more heavily on "RIA". In order to be successful, I think we should 
shift our focus to the desktop, and make it even easier to use Pivot within a 
Swing (as well as SWT) application.
