Sandro Martini commented on PIVOT-761:
--------------------------------------

Hi DreamTangerine,
thank you for sharing with us your idea, if you are interested in helping us on
this issue maybe we could start prototyping something, but (at least not now)
not in Pivot main code base (we have some restrictions by Apache for commit
right in main repository, agreement needed, etc), so if you want you can send a
mail to me and/or Greg with your Google account so we can add commit right for
it, for example in pivot-stuff, and work there (it's a public repository) ...
could be a "pivot-validators" project for the moment.

If you have other ideas/prototypes/other, be free otherwise to write/attach
here (as you like it), so we can discuss all together.

Note:
even in my proposal the validation approach is double: one for single
fields/components, and another (more interesting) for container components like
Forms) ...

Bye,
Sandro

> Test a more generic Validation approach on fields and Containers (Forms, etc)

> Investigating on this field ... both on validating single fields (not only
> text input fields) and Container (like Forms), like in JSF.

> General idea: put investigation code under /skunk and the minimal set of
> interfaces and classes, and the rest outside (in a dedicated subproject, here
> or under apache-extras).
