Sandro,

could you please send us a patch? Our code, printing "by hand" will definitely 
trigger sending of the PrinterContext down into the paint code.

As I've said, we don't like it but if we have to we'll "monkey patch" this 
temporarily (using code from you) because we have an applet in production with 
printing implemented but disabled since it's not working for Labels.
