Hi Noel, if it's not a problem I'd prefer to wait just after the final release of 2.0.1 to branch, so in the meantime we don't have to make changes on both ... I have only small little changes to commit and really I'd like to have it released (could be the end of this week if there aren't objections and/or important open issues). We have to ask to Todd if even this time he will be the release manager, or if it's time for someone of us ... I can do it if there aren't objections.
And yes, I agree with you that probably it would be safer to move the VolatileImage patch in 2.1, mainly bacause now we can't test it so heavy as it requires. Just my opinion. These are last open issues for 2.0.1: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PIVOT/fixforversion/12315951 I think this week we could resolve all of them (nothing strange/complex), and move the VolatileImage in 2.1 ...
