Hi Inigo, well I guess we'll release without it then. As I said I would love to have the next version out till AapcheCon and that starts next Tuesday. So I have to cut the release on Firday or Saturday so we have 72 hours of voting time.
I wouldn't have had any issues with merging it, but if you want to investigate further, I guess we'll put it in the next release. We should start releasing more often anyway ... over half a Year is just too long. Would feel way more comfortable with every 2 months or so. Hi Chris, Otto, Well, we think there has been some progress on the processors. For sure there are things that will need to be enhanced in the future, and if this feature is included in the next release and people start using it, there will probably appear new issues to review. But at the moment, the tests we have done using S7 and Modbus have been succesful, so we think it could be a reasonable starting point for this record oriented feature. However, we will take a look of the latest coments in the PR and review the ongoing issues, and we will make a commit during next week trying to solve all we can (at least all things related to presentaition, code style, comments, etc ). And with this you could maybe give your opinion about including it on the release. Do you agree with this procedure? regards, iñigo ----- Mensaje original ----- De: "Christofer Dutz" <[email protected]> Para: "dev" <[email protected]>, "Gustavo Fernandez" <[email protected]> Enviados: Miércoles, 15 de Septiembre 2021 8:29:16 Asunto: Re: Start preparing the next release? Hi Gustavo, If the state on the new integration is better than the previous, it doesn't have to be perfect. So if it works, I think we should add it to the current release and improve it with the next. Hi Chris The NiFi record read processor is working, but need some improbments sugested by Otto. I think is better to integrate into the next release (0.10.0). It is not a killer feature and is preferable to test more. un saludo --gustavo ----------------------------------------- Gustavo Fernández ZYLK.net :: consultoría.openSource Ribera de Axpe, 11 Edificio A, modulo 201-203 48950 Erandio (Bizkaia) movil: +34 637546184 ofic.: +34 944272119 email: gus at zylk.net skype: gus.zylk http://twitter.com/zylknet http://www.zylk.net/web/guest/web-2-0/blog ----------------------------------------- ----- Mensaje original ----- > De: "Christofer Dutz" <[email protected]> > Para: "dev" <[email protected]> > Enviados: Martes, 14 de Septiembre 2021 18:59:11 > Asunto: Start preparing the next release? > Hi all, > > now that we have released the build-tools and the site, we are now > ready to start the release process on 0.9.0. > The ApacheCon is coming close and I would really love to have a new > release out there soon. > > So my question: > > * What's still missing (I think I have in the back of my mind the NiFi > improvements...)? > * Will the stuff be ready till the end of let's say this week? > > Chris
