http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=44113 Summary: Do not leak shorts into the Java API Product: POI Version: 3.0 Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: HSSF AssignedTo: [email protected] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] The methods for accessing the table cells etc should take ints instead of shorts because Java's handling of shorts is really broken. There are many hidden type conversions going on with primitives other than int and double in Java. Try this code for example: short b; short a; short c = a + b; The conversion should be hidden from the API-user as ints are much more natural for a Java programmer and less error and confusion prone. -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
