I have done such tasks during last week:
1. Implemented aggregating and serializing for documents with charts
2. Implemented new logic for reading container records. (Now POI
correctly aggregates and serializes 100% of documents of .xls files in
test-data/spreadsheet)
3. Reimplemented HSSFShape.
4. Implemented creating simple shapes in existing documents.
5. Added tests for each new improvement.
6. Fixed bug with order of escher records in new shape.
Here is my plan for next week:
1. Support creating textboxes and comments in existing files.
2. Implement new shapes.
3. Work without method convertUserModelToRecords().
4. Make all existing tests work successfull and add new tests
