Hi All

I'm planning to roll a release candidate for 3.10 beta 1 + start the release vote this Friday or Saturday, all being well

Committers - please try to get your changes into svn by Friday lunchtime, if you'd like them to be in the beta! Otherwise they'll need to wait for beta 2 or final (depending on how beta 1 goes)

Non Committers - if there are bugs you'd like to see fixed in the release, please make sure all questions about the bug are answered, all requested test files are available, all requested unit tests / replication steps given etc, to give it the highest chance (but no promises - we're all volunteers here[1]). If a patch is available but hasn't been applied, please confirm it applies to the latest svn / update it as needed.

Nick

[1] The ASF doesn't pay for *any* coding, all work done on POI (and all other Apache projects) is done by volunteers. People either give their own time, or their employer kindly lets them spend work time on it. This applies to both committers and the wider community members. If your problem isn't getting the attention you want it to, most likely it's in an area that doesn't affect those willing to volunteer their time. You'll either need to do some work yourself, or sponsor the work. Contact myself or the PMC off-list if you need details of those currently offering consultancy
