Just to add on this. Below is a sample XML files are written into /tmp

-rw-r--r-- 1 xxxx xxxx   3046 Sep 25 12:40 
poi-sxssf-sheet8160933773697041289.xml

For large export - the bigger xml files are created, and  they don't clean up 
automatically, causing the disk to be full.

Did you make sure you're using the latest version of Apache POI?
