IIRC only trunk, branches and tags get mirrored into github. THe docs are in a different bit of the tree, in part so that the ASF webservers can watch svn for commits to the publish directory and immediately deploy the new files
We could ask for a mirror of docs too, if it would help, but I think the main copy needs to stay svn so the auto-deploy on publish work
