POI uses a lot of memory when it reads xlsx, docx, pptx files. It parses the
XML in these files with XMLBeans and the in memory model XMLBeans uses is very
large.
POI is a volunteer project. We don't have any active members that know the
XMLSlideShow code well. POI is free software and no warranties are provided.
