My opinion is that it should be a pretty big deal to make a change to the
REST spec and _not_ push it upstream. Polaris is not intended to be a fork
of the Iceberg REST spec, but an implementation. We don't own clients that
aren't Iceberg clients. Compatibility with those clients should be a
primary tenet of the project.
