I think we should keep the versioned documentation page separate from the release page.
The docs index page(https://polaris.apache.org/docs/), provides information about which versions are currently active and which are end of life. I am not sure this release status information belongs there. It might be better to move release related details to the release page( https://polaris.apache.org/downloads/). The current release page already includes all download links as well as the release notes, so it seems like a more natural place for that information. By the way, did we ever discuss end of life policy on the mailing list? I do not recall a specific thread about it recently.
