Hi EJ, I believe the SPI definition is going to be a broad community effort. I do not think assigning that issue to one person is critical.
Please feel free to start a dev discussion and share your thoughts about the Polaris SPI. I suppose leveraging dev emails (rather than GH comments) is preferable for this kind of discussion.
