The ability to have a menu to choose the database would be good, though this probably is for all editions of OOo.
All the menus are customizable.
Try : "Tools -> Customize" (sorry, I'm french, and I don't remember the english word )
There is a bug with the help. Click display after selecting an article in the index, it doen't display immediately.
Needs 1 second ? 10 seconds ? I both have this refresh problem, but I just have to wait ~1 second not more.
The help window is put behind all other
OOo windows. You have to wait until all other window
have refreshed, before you can select the help window
again. (Good job I have Expose and Witch).

Track Pad scrolling (with the help of iScroll2) in page preview goes far too fast.

Be carefull : the install probably will change : we're working on it, and we have some constraints to solve (a lot to do in fact).
But sure, the default install directory /opt is a very bad idea, and next will use /Applications. More Mac OSX compliant...
Don't forget to remove it for next versions you'll install, else 200Mo will systematically be lost on your hard disk.
