Hi,

Hi Eric,

What do you mean by "opensymbol fonts cannot be used correctly"?

I thought obtain greek symbol with it, like described with the examples in the box ?

I tested this with NAKATA Maho's 1.9.81 build.

With the opensymbol font selected, I get normal text when typing on the keyboard. No greek symbols!

Yes, you're right...no greek. Ok, I'm confused...

But I really had a problem with "Symbol" font , and the problem was the font... (see after)

I can however use Insert -> Special character and this works fine. All characters look OK and anti-aliasing seems to work.

Yes, works for me too

If this is the behavior you are referring to, then I can confirm it.

Thank you very much. In fact, I have made other tests, using "Symbol" font from Linux PPC, and everything is fine with it.
Same thing whith other fonts, so the problem seems to be caused by fondu, used for extracting ttf from Apple fonts.

Last question : may you try to use accented chars in directories names and /of filenames ?

For example, saving a text file using accented chars. Can you reopen it ? (if not, I have a solution )

Regards, eric bachard
