I was hoping to get a slightly different answer ;) . Even though <http://www.openoffice.org/contributing/programming.html> doesn't mention not copyrightable submissions, other Open Source projects handle short (less than ten lines) or obvious/mechanic changes that are the logical choice to solve a problem as not copyrightable.

(Roberts patch IMHO would qualify.)

Do we really do not have this policy?

P.S.: I have another problem with this patch submission, like mentioned
in the link above it should have been submitted as an issue of type
patch.
