Still jdk1.3 issues are left for us?
j2sdk1.3.1 is useless because some calls are for 1.4.x methods/API.
We have exactly the same problems for the Mac OSX port : some part of OOo uses 1.3.1, other absolutly needs 1.4.1 (it is mini). And with Mac OSX 1.3.x call are not easy to mix with 1.4.x calls. All next major issues to solve for Mac OSX are here.
I'm not sure neither the things will change a day, because : at least 4 modules have to be modified and I see nothing since some times. It's not in my possibilities to modify java code, sorry.
IMHO, OOo2.0 will never be 1.3.1 compliant. Even it's writen somewhere, it's not true...and I'm impatient to can substitute j2sdk with gcj.
Very soon probably. BTW : is gcj-4.0 usable for you ?
