According to the vcl guys it is probable that the gtk > stuff will not really work on MAC OS X anyway.
You're right. I edit the build instructions and post an update. I think I have enough corrections made that I can do a minor revision update so that known errors are corrected and the next big update will come when I get Terry's corrections.
