Hello all,
Per the suggestions of this mailing list, I've notched myself up from
SRC680_m90 to something more recent in the form of SRC680_m96. I am
running Panther 10.3.8 on a G4 single CPU. I have patched with all of
the required patch files (Maho's and Eric's), and I have successfully
built Mozilla 1.7.5 (and when configuring OOo m90, I do included the
enabling of mozilla as a configuration argument).
After running dmake (many hours later), I get the error as pasted
below. It appears to be a library compatability problem with Xft. I
build against X11 and related libraries installed via Darwin Ports.
Specifically, I have (which looks related to the problem):
XFree86_44 4.4.0, Revision 3, x11/XFree86_44 (Variants: puredarwin, devel)
Xft2 2.1.6, x11/Xft2
The current Darwin Ports for Xft2 is indeed 2.1.6:
< http://darwinports.opendarwin.org/darwinports/dports/x11/Xft2/Portfile >
But this may be behind a little bit compare to the current stable
release of fontconfig.
Are there any suggestions on what to try next? I don't know if moving
to a new OOo build (such as > m96) could likely resolve this problem
or not?
Has anyone else run into this problem before? Thanks for any suggestions.
