Hi, in cws moresystemstuff2 (not yet integrated) I introduced --with-crypt-link, --with-pam-link and --with-xrender-link and I wonder whether I at least should make the first one default in configure. Anyone[see below] has them anyway.
I see that crypt is not used because this: /* replacement for crypt function for password encryption, uses either strong encryption of dlopen'ed libcrypt.so.1 or dummy implementation with no encryption. Objective target is to avoid linking against libcrypt (not available on caldera open linux 2.2 #63822#) */ Well. Caldera OpenLinux 2.2 is ancient anyway and crypt() is part of libc. I don't see a problem to enable it per default.
