The trick is to comment out the line "SHL1VERSIONMAP= $(TARGET).map"
in "sal/util/makefile.mk". Just in case someone else also stumbled
over this little pitfall.

You are welcome. I am trying to build 1.1.4(5) SRX645m54 on Tiger
(10.4). It has been very trying as I keep getting errors building
udkapi. I'm wondering what I am doing wrong as others appear to be
successful building and running that version. I can provide as much
information as needed to figure out what is wrong.
