Well folks, it finished. During the install libdb_java.4.2.dylib could
not be found, but I suspect this is because of a non-included function
or a reported bug that I should investigate.
configure:
./configure --with-x --x-includes=/usr/X11R6/includes --with-languages="ALL"
I applied all of the file changes that Patrick Luby fed back through his
CWS SRX645_macjoin1153.
Errors during build that stopped build that were fixed during build:
vcl stopped with error in util/makefile.mk where compile attempted to
use unsupported feature in gcc for MacOSX, Bstatic. Fixed by applying
fix from Patrick Luby's macjoin_1153 (I know it is for m53, but it
appears that this fix was not applied to m56).
odfilter stopped build when it could not find files from xmloff that it
is dependent on. Fixed by manually building and delivering xmloff and
then building and delivering odfilter.
No further build stops occurred.
Problems encountered during install:
libdb_java.4.2.dylib could not be found. A search of the build
directory did not find this file. It is possible that this file was not
built or is a previously reported error.
I opened the following:
new document
new spreadsheet
new presentation (the defaults are UGLY).
a Microsoft Word document saved from OpenOffice/1.1.2 for Linux.
I am satified that the build worked.
And to openstep: I did not encounter your error. Send me your
configure settings.
Thanks all!
James McKenzie
