Hi,

I appreciate that you put your patches into this repository. On the other
hand, MacOS X porting already has its CVS. It is the same repository as the
complete OpenOffice.org project is using.
Maho and myself have build several versions of OOo 1.9, and I would expect by now that these patches have worked back into the master workspace, most notably IZ 42998, which has been open for quite some time now.

What we need is people who will actually work on integrating them, not
people who will collect them in their own private space.
I think that Maho is trying to make public what he is doing to show what he did to build OOo 1.9 milestones successfully. Instead of placing a bunch of files in an obscure location, he is using CVS to make his work available and this is easier than downloading the same files over and over again. As a point of discussing I am using his work to verify that his builds do work with current versions of MacOSX. I do have a second system available, but it is otherwise occupied. However, if it does become available in the future, I will definately work on building on more than one system as part of verification that a certain patch that works on MacOSX does not break builds on a different operating system.

I do have one comment. That is that Maho should update the issues with results from his builds. I think that he is putting his information on good-day.net so that a second, third or maybe fourth person can do confirmation builds, to update issues and that way they can be moved back into the MWS quickly. I know that Eric B. has opened several child work spaces, and those need to be worked back into the MWS, but only after confirmational builds and testing that demonstrates that the patches do not break builds on other operating systems.

If we all shared information like Maho, we may move quickly towards a Release Candidate for OOo 1.9 for the Mac.
