Hello Christian,
welcome!
I have not done much for this project, shame on me, because I am a
lazy bastard (no, seriously, because I am a busy bastard).
But I live in Wiesbaden, and I would love the opportunity to meet. I
am an OS X veteran, but not so much of an OOo developer. I must admit
I have not even managed to build a single version of OpenOffice Mac
on one of my machines.
And more generally for the group, being such a busy developing
bastard brought a PowerMac Pentium to my office. So someday maybe I
can try to compile on that box ;)
Bye
Alex

As I am new on this list, I just want to introduce myself:
My name is Christian Junker, I come from the area around Frankfurt
(am
Main), Germany and became affected with the 'OOo vibes' in early
January 2004, when I did voluntary work in the United States taking
part in a small software development team dedicated to create an
educational software for developing countries (project name: Global
Circle of Knowledge) which used OpenOffice as its base, customizing
the UI by means of the api and UNO techniques.
Great !
I ended my 1 year term coming back to my home in early 2005, doing
studies at TU Darmstadt and I am now moving to Bavaria continuing
studies.
I whish you the best for your studies :-)
Since I had no notebook until then and strongly needed one because of
moving out of the house among other things, I thought about buying an
iBook and actually did! ;-)
Good move ! And if you're interested, it's possible to install
Linux on it. Debian sid runs great on such machines.
Just ask René ;-)
I have been active in OOo projects since early 2004 - primarily in
api
and udk and lateron also tried to start helping the de-native-lang
project.
So with a new iBook under my arms I want to contribute to the mac osx
port in the future.
Great ! I'm very happy to see the team has a new "member"
Welcome !!
I already know some of the OOo Mac OS X volunteers
personally, so integration shouldn't really be hard for me.
hehe ... ;-)
I think you're coming at good time, because we'll have a lot to do
soon with Mac OS X port. Stay connected.
FYI, I'm myself living around 4 hours of Frankfurt (a/main) [ 1h30
from Straßburg + 2h30 Straßburg / Frankfurt ], and if you agree, I
think it could invite some Mac OS X developers at home (you,
Florian, Eric... ). I'm not sure either we can meet us in Koper
because Florian and Eric have a new job since just recently.
I have enough place for some at home and, this way, we could do
very interesting work. What we have to do is to find a possible
date. Are you interested?
Regards,
eric bachard
BTW : I really have a 256M of SoDImm RAM doing nothing under my
screen... (send me a mail with your address....)
