Hi,I'd like to post the links we have on services to working copies of 2.0 for Mac OS X (X11). I recognise that these are *works in progress" but I think a big warning sign that that is the case should be enough to dissuade people from using them foolishly.
I write this because we now have screenshots of a program (2.0 for OS X) most people do not about, and because I have been *happily* using 2.0 for OS X (X11) for the last few weeks and it has worked superbly.
And we need more testers, I'd imagine. So, I will, unless you give me a compelling reason not to, post the links on the Mac Downloads page with a big warning sign and a request that users file issues if they encounter problems in their release. The URL I'll post:
http://macosxrc.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/ooomisc/ MacOSXrc/
And the message will be roughly:These are developer builds and are not meant for production environments. Use with caution. But use them and tell us about the problems you have encountered by filing an issue with our QA Project.
Ciao, Louis
