Hi Maho,

Being aggresive won't solve any problem and I'll explain below why I'm acting so.

You must do your job thoroughly.

My job ? You are confused... My job is Professor, in an Engineer School.

OpenOffice.org project is not a job... I am just volounteer, doing my best, and working every day (and nights), for free. Some things cannot be made instantaneously.

So please accept that things cannot be perfect, and take some times. Be more patient will solve your problem.

I don't understand why you e-mail me directly

No. You were on CC with other people directly concerned in this part.

rather than having discussion on IssueTracker.

When you work on something, you probably work alone. Me not : I prefer work in little team, directly improved in the part, to not bother other people. Because synchronous work is not always possible, I prefer mails.

Maybe something has to be organized about this working method ? Maybe not : split hairs is useless...

What I send you (and other) was not clean, even not ended, and had to be tested/fixed before to be put in cvs. For example, when " set +x " is still in a shell script, this is one very good reason to not commit it.

Other reason : because I am sometimes not completely sure of what I propose, and often do little mistakes, typos ...etc, I prefer someone else test/completes what I propose before to publy it. And sometimes we are joking between us, or talking about our children, family, holidays...

-> Such discussions are noise for mailing list, and for IssueTracker too. Last but not least, everything I post here must be informative, correct and clean.

That's the reason why I first ask to people like you, more close to the exact devel in progress. After, when everything looks ok, of course it can be posted.

Please stop to consider I'm hidding things. This is completely false and really hurting.

> So I don't know which one will be committed.

Simple :

Stephane script named " create-package.sh " wins.
Add : patch in instsetoo_native to use create-package.sh with correct arguments + patch for configure.in for change osx PKGFORMAT in portable

The use of fondu is delayed to 2.0.1 (see my recent post)

- complete macosx11 to declare it Ready for QA.
- verify nothing's wrong and include the changes :

Patch is not clean and not definite,

Patch is perfectly defined, but not commited. You're right about this last point.

and of course very far from release quality.

No, the commit I'll do soon is clean. I have to test it one more time before.

* Please COMPLETE your patch. half done patch is also very problematic,
  and halmful.

Please note : macosx11 cws is still not ready for QA.

It will be completed as soon as possible. Are you aware I sometimes need to sleep and do other things than prepare you cws ? So be patient.

* Attach it to IssueTracker rather than directly e-mail me.

Again : some changes have to be tested on one or two machines only, with people able to analyze and maybe fix trivial problem if one occurs.

* Please read my patch as well.

Yes, I read them, and I read all other, from other contributors too. So, it can take some times. Of course, other solutions can be choosen. FYI, I have defined a choice. Feel free to give a constructive opinion.

Don't forget, build something is from far more difficult than break it.

Regards,
eric bachard
