Great work Eric and others!

OOo 2 for Mac OS X is getting in very fine shape :)

I looked into the Info.plist in the OpenOffice.org 2.app and noticed that the document type declarations were done very nicely :)

However, Spotlight-related information has not been added. This is needed for (future) Spotlight plugins (NeoLight is one such plugin, but currently does not seem to work with OO2)

Here are the additions to Info.plist. This information has been created by using public documentation and information.

Happy Hacking!

Hi,

Just for the record, macosx11 is ready for QA, and close to be Approved
by QA.
This means that we have (at least) a very interesting version of
OpenOffice.org 1.9.xxx for Mac OS X

For the one interested,  I have uploaded experimental builds here :
<http://ooofr.org/telechargement/macosx/2.0/m130/>, only for french and
en-US locales (sorry, not much place).

Maho Nakata who proposed himself to provide official builds, will
continue, and propose soon all versions, for a lot of locales.

FYI, these build does contain last modifications we made :

Installation :
- double click on .dmg
- put the icon in /Applications ( prefered... )
- dock the icon and enjoy !

Use of gtk or kde themes (experimental) :

If you want to use gtk or kde themes, everything gnome or kde must be
installed before (of course), else gen plugin is used. Some tools like
gtk-switch-themes + themes ( see <http://art.gnome.org> for themes ) are
necessary.

To enable themes , add the following lines in soffice script

# comments
# possible plugins are "gen", "kde" or "gtk"
# nothing will use gen by default
# just replace with the one you want

export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN="gtk"

# end customization

Another nice thing is crystal icons inside (still experimental : you're
warned ) :

Tools -> Options -> View
In Icon size and style, choose crystal  :-)

Small size are my prefered, up to you for the choice  ;-)

Apple native fonts are now automatically extracted if and only *if and
only if* fondu is installed (via fink or maybe darwinports -not sure-).

I provide a .pkg of fondu, available here :
(be careful : I have not tested this version of fondu with Tiger...).

Important : this version of fondu (sources availables at the same URL,
does include a patch for complex fonts (Japanese and maybe some Chinese
fonts)

If you add new fonts after OOo2.0 installation, just delete the file
named ".fondudone" located in :

/Applications/OpenOffice.org
2.0.app/Contents/openoffice.org/share/fonts/truetype

Note : replace /Applications with the folder wher you put OpenOffice.org
2.0 while instalation.
Next OOo start, fondu will extract again all the available fonts. We'll
try to improve this in future versions.

Many thanks to Stephan Schaefer and Tino Rachui. They have made an
incredible work recently !

Regards,
eric bachard
