Just to confirm it here: If I start *build* in $SRC_ROOT it still hangs.
This is on W32-tcsh with m138.

As Pavel already mentioned, this is not really true for dmake and it is
definitely a bug that build hangs (or causes some error) if started
from $SRC_ROOT.

I'm not sure how you can get to this conlusion. Yuris problem was that
build failed in $SRC_ROOT but that he should have used dmake. Or
$ cd instsetoo_native && build --all
