Most of that code runs on all platforms already so do not be put off by the
lines of code. Porting involves mostly some conditional code for different
platforms, when you run into trouble you will see what other platforms have done
already.

There are 2 stages of commitment - (1) some intensive work to get the initial
port completed, then (2) some intensive work to keep up with any changes that
affect your platform for ever after ;)

I think if you get it to run then it will be full featured, it is all or
nothing

How much time have you got? I think you will soon see the amount of features
does not matter.

> 3. What are the main issues which need to be fixed in the porting phase.

config_office: contains the configuration steps, which make sure you have all
the tools working to make a build

solenv: some simple changes to use the correct compiler flags for the platform
and thinsg like that

sal: if you are unlucky, some platform specific parts in here

bridges: some small amount of assembler code, but there are examples of other
platforms to consider, and high quality help is avaliable...

> 4. Is there any existing port available for HP-UX.

The main thing is to get started!

Read the guides at http://porting.openoffice.org/

File issues, ask on the [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list and irc, my own
experience has
been that there will be plenty of help from the community
