OOo stores information about which JRE is chosen in
<ooo>/share/config/javasettings_Linux_x86.xml (systemwide) and/or
<userinstallation>/user/config/javasettings_Linux_x86.xml (per user).
Those files cannot be edited by hand, but you can start soffice, use
"Tools - Options... - StarOffice - Java" to select some JRE, terminate
soffice, and use the resulting
<userinstallation>/user/config/javasettings_Linux_x86.xml (e.g., copy it
to <ooo>/share/config/ so that all subsequent users use the same JRE).
