I finally got it to build on Gentoo64 but I'm worried about fixing
something that works on SUSE-64.

is wrong because I have gnutls.
I ran:
build/src680-m188/libxmlsec/unxlngx6.pro/misc/build/xmlsec1-1.2.6/configure
and it gave me a different error:
