Hi all, first of all I'm pretty new to FreeBSD and so far I installed only a PC-BSD, DesktopBSD and a FreeBSD in a VMWare Fusion Virtual Machine on my Mac.
On the german users mailinglist one user asked if there are dictionaries for the german language and how to install them on FreeBSD. We gave him the standard answer for this and his response was that even en-US spellchecking isn't working in OOo 3.0.0 under FreeBSD 7.1 and that he also isn't able to install the extensions for the various german dictionaries, spellchecking and hyphernation. In fact no extensions can be installed at all as we discovered later on in this topic. Out of curiosity I installed the above mentioned flavours of FreeBSD 7.x and they all showed the same behaviour that was already described in the thread on the german mailinglist, spellchecking is not working for en-US, de-DE and extension can't be installed at all. I couldn't find an issue for this in issuetracker so I want to know if this is a known issue at all or if this function is off by default/design? I tried the downloads from ooopackages.good-day.net and the port installation out of FreeBSD 7.1 and 7.1pre2 which is the base for DesktopBSD and they both showed the above behaviour. We're there any QA's done for OOo 3.0.0 under FreeBSD or are only builds provided?
