Hey all,

The PouchDB incubation at the ASF is going slower than I have anticipated. I
see the main reason is my unexpected lack of time during this time (for
personal reasons). The main task ahead of us was getting going at the ASF and I
have seen and positioned myself as the main facilitator for this process and I
ran out of time making substantial headway.

We have made slow and steady progress up until a month ago, which I was fine
with, but I was mostly absent for the month of October and am only now coming
back.

It is the nature of open source that folks come and go, but it is a core part
of the ASF that a project rests on multiple shoulders and so far I have failed
to let anyone else lend a shoulder.

I am in good hopes that going forward my time is more reliable and that we can
do the next steps here in relatively quick succession, so that more shoulders
can come and help carry the project.

As an immediate next step, I have asked ASF Infra about starting the repository
moving process and clear any hurdles there for us
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-27414

I hope we can get things going smoothly from here on out.

Best
