Bonjour Sophie,
within the QA project we currently have 354 community members with 'canconfirm' privilege. When looking at the mailing list traffic you can see that the project is active. Since July 2002 there were more that 4500 mails posted to this list. Within the last weeks there were several new members who asked for privileges.
I would like to also state that QA has more new members signing up than Documenation and User-Faq combined. Basically, there are more people that request for the Observer role on the project.
Getting a new bug day together has been rather interesting. I would like to have one before 2.x releases, but we have a lot of planning, etc to do. Mabye we should start talks on this again. ;-)
I would like to have a new 'bug day' but this should be planned before because there are people from time zones all around the world and it would be unfriendly to ignore people from other time zones. The last bug days I was at home and I started in the evening. This was perfect for our US contributors and people like me who lives in MET/MEST time zone. Within the last weeks I wasn't able to get involved because I was off site (CeBIT trade fair and on vacation) but within the next week it would be manageable.
Regarding the number of people reporting bugs I don't have any data. Perhaps someone of Collab.net with direct access to the Issuetracker database could create a query to get the number of unique submitters but I'm not sure if it's possible.
